Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and changed by your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, which also makes it safe for contracts, invoices and ID documents.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn into each page, so it cannot simply be switched off. Anyone with editing software can still cover or remove content, so a watermark deters copying rather than preventing it.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited here. Open the file in your PDF reader with its password, save a copy without protection, then use that copy.
